Season 4 is what happens when you get the writers in the wrong headspace and using an actors' divorce as some lame excuse to re-push an old plot device back into the picture.
I really cannot get over how bad that whole season was. I re-watch bits of it on television re-runs sometimes and the new cast are awful (that Chase actor was so bland with Sophia I'm sorry it must be said
), the whole Lucas and Peyton thing was a disgrace to the memory of Bryan Greenberg in this show... I mean did Schwahn fall out with him or something? Because it spits in the face of what Peyton shared with Jake.
And of course it makes the trust Brooke had in Peyton when they reunited in late season 1 completely meaningless.
