Boromir wanted to go home with the others because he had to fix a wall. Denethor however suggested that everyone starts to collect wood. They went to chop the trees and gather extra wood. A decision was made to put up the Christmas tree in Bilbo's living room. He protested that there was not enough room for them to put up the tree. So, Gandalf decided they would use a different tree. Kili found two different boxes of ornaments, which were going to be put on the tree. While he opened the boxes, Fili started with the glass lights,wrapping them around the tree, making sure that they were secure. Meanwhile, Aragorn decided to start a paper cutting project, so he gathered some pieces of paper and started to fold them and make first little cuts. After preparing the room he sat near the fire, waiting for his turn to go to the kitchen, where Bofur was cooking some sausages. "They need to get a new stove, since the old one won't work." Gimli then took a plate and filled it with sausages, stuffing and potatoes. Meanwhile Dori closed his book and asked for some tea and crumpets to serve with supper. It tasted like honey and chocolate and he added a little extra cream. Nori then slapped Ori because he dropped the plate with the crumpets while he tried to dance to a song, beating his great drum. Later on, they decided to visit the new barge and try to get Bard onboard so that they could embark on a trip to visit the Shire. Thorin and Kili decided to go alone to Rivendell, where they were immediately escorted to Elrond. Once they got settled, Elrond told them that the path leading toward the meadow of Lorien
