I think all Brie fans should watch "Bismati Blues". Yeah, it got a lot of criticism (you can read online why). If you don't mind that (because you don't have to) than I'm certain this movie is for you. It is a relatively light movie. I watched it a month ago. Seeing Brie dancing and singing and playing a "normal/light" character, a nice young woman (compared to her heavy roles in Short Term 12 - Room - The Glass Castle) is such a pleasure to watch.

It almost feels like some movie producers had asked me/her fans what I want to see in a movie. Brie Larson. Playing a smart and positive young woman. And let her sing, she's a singer. Ah, and why not a bit of dancing too? The plot isn't super great but with Brie playing (almost?) playing the/one of the leading characters, it's worth watching it. I watched it on DVD. I gave it a 7.5/10. Some weaknesses but over all I had a lot of fun.
