FBI is a completely different series and franchise and has nothing to do with the L&O franchise. The only thing it has in common with L&O is that it's a show by the same production company, "Wolf Productions".
You can easily campaign for an FBI Franchise board as it already has a campaign thread

As for the general discussion here for extended universe...
Has anyone seen the UK L&O? It's the one I've not seen and it hasn't aired here. I'd like to give it a try and can rent it on iTunes, but don't want to waste money if it's not great.
It has 8 seasons from what I can see.
