I am not convinced that ASP ever intended for them to be actually physically together at the end. I think it was at that ATX reunion she said she wasn’t supposed to end with any of them, and in the revival that’s exactly what happened.
Her plan from the very beginning was that Rory was going to end up in a similiar situation to her mother and the story starts again, this time with Rory, Jess, and Logan. I agree though that it is heavily implied that Jess is the one she is meant to be with. We were just never going to see it play out…which is an absolute bummer  . |
well she always called jess her luke, as in the guy who would wait for her and love her until she was ready to be with him. that's partly why I think she might've had them end up together but I think the real life breakup between milo/alexis played a part because she wasn't there in s7 but she brought him back for the revival and they still had as much chemistry as ever and he was still in love with her clearly bit ofc we'll never know if they would've eventually been together someday ugh. you're right though, maybe amy just said that to make us shippers feel better bit I'm glad she never wanted rogan to be endgame either, I'm petty.
no matter what these two had better chemistry and a real connection through their love of books and etc!
