Chris could just never fit living in Stars Hollow. He doesn't understand that life and that throwing money around to get what you want doesn't work there. Another reason why he and Lorelai would never work. Their ways of life and how they want to live it are different. Lorelai hates that privliged lifestyle. Chris claimed he didn't want it as a teenager, but truth is he loves it.
