Dawson’s Creek was so twisted. Dawson was not allowed to be truly happy. If Dawson got together with anyone not named Joey it would make Princess Joey in the minds of the writers look bad. Dawson was not meant to be happy unless Joey allowed him to do so.

That's all so true. When I watched that clip on Facebook, it strick me how beautiful Bianca Lawson was and her and James Van Der Beek played off each other really well, but then two episodes or so later, her and her father (who was one of the best adult characters that we ever saw on the show) were gone.
