^ That is my best guess. I just got confirmation. That's the episode that that screencap is from. Topanga was right. In Angela's mind, she was just the girl who went out with Cory's best friend. Even though she and Shawn went out for over a year, Cory never took the time to get to know her, so of course she thought that they were never really friends to begin with.
