How did John Cryer do as Lex Luthor Michelle? I'm so used to seeing him in comedic roles (especially Two and a Half Men) that I couldn't picture him as a villain. I saw one scene where he was arguing with Lena Luthor, and his performance seemed over-the-top.

Yes, she played Lex Luthor’s mother. She was fabulous.
I personally didn’t like him in the role. You are right, it was an over-the-top performance. You could tell he has acting talent, but he just wasn’t very believable in this role. He didn’t have a powerful enough presence.
