Once cable TV went digital it got tied into internet.
All of the old UHF channels are now being used by freaking cellphone networks.
Why does everyone put so much trust into a technology that is so untethered from anything physical? How many times have people lost internet connection, or had to get their PC fixed because of a botched update? And of course, you need constant updates to do anything, which is a hassle. You could buy a TV and keep that thing forever until you needed to replace it.
