I think it may have been because Rikki and Emma are more... stubborn... that's not the word i'm looking for but it kinda hopefully makes my point. While Cleo is more laid back and more fearful so an easier target for him in the beginning??
I think Emma and Rikki were definitely the driving force because if Cleo had her way she would've told him immediately.
Poor Emma having to quit the swim team.
