Me too, but I think another key friendship was the one between Sirius and Remus, in large part because they were a part of the Order of the Phoenix and it represented a time where Harry's parents took charge / defied evil.
An issue with these movies is that they always kinda underplayed the adult bonds to make way for the kids. I guess run-times restrict a lot and you have wasted potential.
