as a life long “northerner” with all my ancestors residing in the north I never had a positive view on the antebellum south.
One could still take the love story of Scarlett and Rhett, update the setting without romanticizing the antebellum south, but show two people whose world was changing forever. Now that I think about it, not too much of a GWTW remake as a update. Oh and not make the movie so long…..
