So a long excitable rant warning

A while ago I was a part of this (awful) GG Facebook group and I did a series of posts about the similiarities between Jess and Lorelai, based off some of those great tumblr gifsets floating around and they were well received (except by the Logan fans who want Logan to be like Lorelai
)….don’t get me started on that. Anyway at the same time John Cabrera (Brian), joined the group just before he started his online first watch party, and we shared some minor chitchat.
So as some of you know I have been listening to some of the recordings from the watch party and twice now from the few I have listened to, John has mentioned the fan observation that Jess and Lorelai are very similiar and said he totally buys into in and he has mentioned some that have never really been bought up before.
One was in the first episode of season 3.
Lorelai to Chris ‘Are you still with Sherry?’
Jess to Rory ‘Are you still with Dean!’
That’s a great pick up. I am going to research the other one he mentioned as I only vaguely remember it. I just find the comparisons between these 2 so interesting.
Ok here is the other one he mentioned and this is a great pick up. In the season 2 finale both Lorelai and Jess have had a strained patch with Luke and are trying to get back into his life and John points out that they both say ‘I said it a million times’
LORELAI: I said I was sorry, Luke.
LUKE: Yes, you did.
LORELAI: I said it like a million times.
And Jess’s conversation with Luke.
LUKE: Come back here?
JESS: Yes.
LUKE: Here to Stars Hollow?
JESS: Yes.
LUKE: To live in this apartment with me?
JESS: I said yes a million times already.
