As smooth as they could I guess.
I heard about the Broadway show being canceled because the understudy wasn’t ready yet. If that happened in Toronto that would have been my brother! He’s the cover for Harry and Ron. So not only does he have to know is multiple parts as a member of the ensemble, he has to be prepared to step in to the lead at short notice. So he has to have extra rehearsal time compared to the main cast. And with the short amount of time they have it’s going to be so stressful. So it’s completely understandable that the Broadway people were not quite ready yet.
