Luke saw Lorelai looking at the menu intently because she really wanted some fries but there weren't any potatoes so Luke had to buy more potatoes at Doose’s. Lorelai tried to tell Michel that they were late for the meeting. He was really busy covering up the canvas at the Dragonfly so Lorelai didn't notice that it was about to fall. Kirk wanted Lorelai to help him to stop itching his arm. Lulu decided to try to convince Babette that Morey was too tired to find a solution to the staffing problem at their job.
