I'm sure they will have to do something so Yennefer can see his feelings are legit and have nothing to do with the wish. Their relationship is just as important as the main action imo. Though of course that doesn't mean the people on the show will think that.
And as much as I love what we got in S1 I do think there was more they could have (and should have) shown with them.
