Me too. If it had focused more on the historically accurate characters that would have been better. But Cameron did the cliche thing and got the teenage interest by creating a fake love story and circling it all around that.

Totally agree
fantastic, intense acting in that scene and also love that Baz Luhrmann managed to shoot that part of a movie during a REAL hurricane! Very atmospheric.
