Abrams, Johnson, and Kennedy know damn well what they're doing, and it's not about honoring the legacy of Star Wars, it's about desecrating it, deconstructing it, and destroying it, because by 21st century standards it's not "woke." Luke Skywalker is too much of a "white savior;" Han Solo is an example of "toxic masculinity;" the themes of Star Wars reflect tropes of colonialism and militarism that are "problematic." Leia's depiction is "sexist."
