I wish there was more of a market for mature superhero material. Disney did some of that sort of thing with Netflix, but then they unceremoniously dumped it. When DC tried to put a dark sensibility, plus atmosphere and grandeur into their movies, audiences avoided them in droves and critics attacked them. And there was the Watchmen film too, which wasn't appreciated enough. Another example is the the Daredevil film from early in this century. It was damn good, yet nobody appreciates it. Instead we get critics who claim to be adults wildly praising every episode of MCU Spider Man immaturity and audiences packing in to watch anodyne Disney Marvel movies that seem designed to soothe kindergarteners to sleep.
