Sarah... I don't like all this fictional timeline stuff anymore... every writer is making their own rules. I'm sticking with Back to the Future, D.C. rules... if you change something in the past... it will cause a ripple effect and alternate things in the preasent.
The Twilight Zone and a few other things also showed - if you prevent one thing, something else bad will happen. TZ: A couple went back in time, found themselves in Germany when Hitler was a baby. They threw Baby Adolf HItler into the river. After a while Mr./ Mrs. Hitler just adopted a new baby and named it Hitler. History will find a way....
Actually DC just has 2 headed monster... time travel stuff and multi-universe stuff....
