Yeah, I believe that Adam means way too much to Joan for her to take it lightly. But I loved the discussion at the end. When Joan told Adam that it meant something to her, too, it seemed as if something in him changed. I know he was all hurt and confused, but at least he knows it wasn't because she doesn't like him. I think he realizes that she doesn't really know what to do because she *does* like him.
And then she asked him to dance...
