Really? Even way back in S4 I thought he was gonna die. He nearly committed suicide in Afghanistan (S4).
But yeah all things considered, Saul is the heart of the show and I can't imagine him dying even if it happens in the finale. He's sacrificed a lot (marriage didn't work out too) to serve his country.
