"St. Elsewhere" was a highly acclaimed medical drama that aired in the 1980s that helped spawn the careers of the likes of Howie Mandel, Denzel Washington and Mark Harmon.



It was the first television series to deal the the AIDS epidemic.

Unfortunately, that final scene has overshadowed the integrity of the series.

I thought it was a daring and different ending. However, most people did not like it.

This may jog your memory of "Newhart". I'm sure your parents watched it.



In their spoof, the entire show was the dream of his previous series' character from "The Bob Newhart Show", Dr. Bob Hartley.
