My Life Story
Just posted this on the Gay/Bi thread and I thought I'd post it here since it's kind of relevant to Angie. Well, truly VERY relevant really.
When I was 13 I was stabbed 8 times in the chest and raped by my boyfriend at the time because I wouldn't sleep with him. Well, I think that's the reason. I sunk into a depression especially after having a baby and putting it up for adoption. besides the fact that my mom beat me all my life. I started cutting, tried to kill myself several times, and got heavy into drugs. Finally I went to an institution and when I got out I started watching a lot of movies at night instead of going out to get messed up. That's when I discovered Angelina and started basically researching her and such. Read her journals from her trips, interviews, etc. She literally saved my life (hence the subject line). Anyway, point being, I've been through a heck of a lot of stuff and finally at the age of 24 I am a COMPLETELY different person. I don't even recognize the person I used to be. I have my head on straight, appreciate life and the people in it (even the ones that screw me over which happens frequesntly) and I've learned that nothing is worth wasting time and pain on. Just enjoy life. Movies and music are a great outlet as well as writing and such. Now a days depression is a popular state of mind (a fad even), but it's such an incredible waste of time. It might get you a little attention, but not the kind you want. Being a contagiously fun person is more interesting to people. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there and if anyone is going through anything hard and just want someone to talk to, even if it's about nothing, please don't hesitate to drop me a line.
