I love everything Fergus said in the movie, especially when he was paroding Merida and her unwillingess to get married, it was such a hilarious moment

It did. I love it when a movie is equally great and appealing in it's humour and emotional/dramatic aspect. Brave certainly did well in both areas

I love that it wasnt your typical Disney love story! It just shows you dont need a relationship to be strong.

I loved that Merida didn't have a love interest, it was a very nice take on the traditional fairytale.

I think what's great about Disney and the stories it's telling is how every story is unique and meaningful in it's own way. It created somee beautiful love stories like The Little Mermaid or Tangled out of the modern ones and they also created great films that address other things such as parents/children relationships which is also incredibly important and that was the main point of Brave. Merida/Elinor conflict was the main focus of the story, plus we got to see the incredibly touching relationship between Elinor and Fergus that seemed to have a strong and equal marriage. Merida simply did not need a love interest considering that the main ideas of the story were. Everything about the movie and the development of each character was consistent and meaningful.
