I didn't even notice Tom Ellis.
I guess he'd be an upgrade from her short date, though I'm still not attracted to him. __________________

Yeah, total upgrade, but I'm eh about him. He's not hideous in the slightest, but he's like the Armie dude that does nothing for me. Maybe if I watch Lucifer I'll dig him. But apparently his character and Miranda get married. They seem like great friends, which is sweet. And even reunited last year for some special.
Nice to see Admiral Adama is still around. Quote:

I refuse to see Lucifer because I hate how they make him into a romantic hero. I see how the homely lady hired the "hot" guy to be her boyfriend. Guess I can't blame her. We'd all hire the hot guys we can't makeout with in real life to be our tv/movie boyfriends. I know you'd hire Keanu Those sites are really annoying about cookies. Admiral Adama should work with Laura Roslin again. They were adorable in BSG together. __________________

Interesting belief system.
I still can't bring myself to like the devil as a romantic guy... I think the show takes him from being bad to good all because of a woman's love, and I am sooooo over that trope. __________________

Just shows that everything isn't always seen as one way. Perception can significantly alter things.
Just shows that one shouldn't underestimate the power of a woman's love... __________________

I think of Rey and Kylo and how they had that stupid kiss at the end of Ep IX *shudders*
Let people be bad and unrepentant. __________________

I was so indifferent to them as characters, that I wasn't even phased by that scene.
Would Lucifer be considered people being a supernatural being and all? And then you have those believers that don't see him as evil in the first place, so his behavior of behaving good isn't a stretch to them, with or without a woman's love. __________________

when it happened, Steph looked over at me and did the puke sign.
Sure, supernatural beings can be people. Anything fictional can be people. I'd say the same thing about an evil bee in a movie or tv show. __________________

Once a priest said in his homily that hell is not fire and brimstone like most people think, but the absence of God. Made me think of solitary confinement. Like the soul will just be sad and lonely. Quote:
And honestly it promotes "falling in love" with one's torturer. He tortured her by invading her mind. He mind raped her. She kissed and supposedly "fell in love" with her rapist. It's sick. |

Someone in my etymology board mentioned that a woman in a mom's group that she frequents wanted to use the name Maleficent on her daughter to be.

Nooooooo! Why do that to your child? It's so mean. She needs to think of connotations, not just how something sounds nice to her. And if you like the sound, might as well go with "Millicent" (which I still think is ugly but at least it doesn't make you think of an evil fairy) I am definitely basic. My mind is more inclined for English than math. __________________

I was good at math but I don’t remember the formulas. Use it or lose it.
I liked reading, but always had trouble with spelling. Words with lots of vowels are difficult to remember. Quote:
