Their bond of trust started from the moment he saved her life from Dukat. That's what really got me about them, no matter what they went through, or what happened between them, they always found a way to mend the dings in their friendship, and it made them stronger together.

Donna- Garak definitely knows that is Russot had kept pushing, the egotistical Cardassian wouldn't have left that moon alive. Kira and Odo do not say things lightly. They say it, they mean it.

Loved watching Odo be openly protective and supportive of Kira in "The Reckoning." He didn't have to hide his feelings anymore ... and his words of supporting her had the most power since the rest of the crew knew that he was the ONLY person really able to speak on her behalf. Bonus: when Kira kisses him on the cheek at the end of the episode, right there on the same Promenade where they passionately made out in "His Way." He's smiling as he's watching her walk away, with a completely smitten expression on his face.

I loved the little exchange Odo had with Worf about his choice to let Kira continue on being a host to the prophet. Odo respects her religious beliefs, even though he doesn't share them. He knew she'd give her lie for the prophets.

For a guy who no doubt condemned public displays of affection beforehand, all it took was a red-headed Bajoran Major to change his mind . Especially after she became HIS.



Glad that they had Odo give that pivotal moment (their first kiss) the respect it deserves when he said it "changed his life" -- because it changed HIM as well. He went from wanting no part of a humanoid relationship, not really understanding them and only seeing the bad aspects ... to being 1000% "I'm in a happy humanoid relationship and I don't care who knows it." After he overcame the hurdle of his doubts (how to successfully woo her, take those steps to exit the friend zone ... while Kira waited, and WE waited), he found happiness and love.

Loved that private salute they give to Vic in "Badda Bing, Badda Bang" -- as if to say, "You played a huge role in helping us get started, so thank you."

"And the Odo YOU know will change too ... if you're patient with him." It was a solemn promise, that Odo DID keep. He changed, and loving Kira brought that out in him. She loved him back just as fiercely, so they became everything to each other. Almost, realistically, to the point that what they shared was so intimate and content that after she and Odo got together she didn't really hang out with Jadzia as much ... cause Odo gave her everything. He was still her best friend, but way more too. Jadzia would be okay with it, having known multiple lifetimes of happy marriages. Finally, she'd stop trying to set Kira up with random people .

Once Jadzia saw their KISS, she was like, "FINALLY!" I think Jadzia trying to set Kira up with all of these men she used to know (and date) was meant to prod Kira into settling on her feelings for Odo. Jadzia was unconventional to say the least! lol!

I loved the episode with 200 year old Odo! He was so sad, for a short while, he was happy again because Kira was there with him.

I think Odo would have been okay if Bashir used leftover samples from Odo's time as a human ... Bajorans/humans would be compatible together. Then it would truly still be Odo's kid . But they did mention that humanoids/Changelings were not biologically compatible to create children. Odo has the benefit of having been human for a short span of time, so Bashir probably would have collected as many kinds of samples as possible. After "Unity" and "The Long Mirage" I truly think that Odo and Kira would have married and either adopted or created kids together (either donated Bajoran sperm or Odo's sperm as a human). The only person Odo would have wanted to create a child with is Kira.

If Leeta and Rom can have a child, and a Klingon/human can have children, then a human/Bajoran should be able to have kids too. I want my happy Odo/Kira ending . FYI - I choose to ignore that whole "Kira is a vedek" thing.

Donna, I've actually had a few story ideas floating around in my head regarding Kira having Odo's baby! One version is where the Prophets make it possible for Kira to become pregnant with Odo's offspring, and they have a daughter who is the ultimate chameleon. She can change her face into any species she wants.

The second story idea I had is where the Prophets bind Kira's life to Odo's, so when he comes back to the DS9 like thirty years later, she still looks the same as the day they separated.
