:look: Couldn't watch last night. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up tonight.

S1 E6 Lethe
I was thinking that they could do more character exploration of Michael Burnham. They could delve further into her past, what she went through being orphaned and what it was like growing up as a human amongst Vulcans. We got a snippet of what Spock Jr's life was like in Star Trek 2009.

Good eppy I thought
- like seeing Sarek again and delving more into the relationship between him and Michael - so the Captain and Admiral were more than on friendly terms,. - Stamets getting way too excited about new experiment  - Glad to see friendship growing between Lily and Michael and Michael trusting her - So now the new guy is the security chief.. - Ooo Admiral kidnapped by the Klingons, now what is the Captain going to do about it? - Also did holdeck's work in the time of Discovery ? |
The more controversial Lorca gets, the more I like him! He surely hoped the Admiral will land into difficulties at the meeting and now he's hoping she will stay there with his secret.
|
- hmm, I didn't think of it that way, but you could be right. That would explain Lorca not rushing to rescue her. Guess we'll find out eventually.
Good episode! - enjoyed the opening scene of Michael and Tilly training together. They're obviously becoming friends. - really liked seeing Sarek again - it was nice to see Amanda give Michael the book - I'm liking Staments better. His fascination with the whole Katra thing was fun. - interesting to learn that Lorca and the Admiral have a history together. - I'm liking Ash better than I thought I would - I thought holodecks were new in TNG? |
Stamets got a personality transplant from those spores! LMAO!! Lorca's face during that scene! LOL!
Lorca and the Admiral..... Nice backstory for them. too bad it ended with a phaser to her neck. Michael calling Sarek "Father" just made the episode for me! IDK why! |
Yeah Stamets was quite chirpy
really liked the backstory of Michael and Sarek.. |
Just finished watching this. I really enjoyed this episode. I'm loving how the crew is starting to gel and develop relationships with each other, it's nice!
I found myself really liking Ash in this episode. The backstory with Sarek was interesting. The moral dilemma he had, and the idea of other Vulcans being prejudiced against Spock as well as Michael, was an interesting idea and is nice to see in Star Trek. As soon as the Admiral said she'd remove Lorca's command when she got back, I thought: 'she's dead'. I wasn't entirely right, but she is in deep trouble and the Captain doesn't seem too keen to rescue her. I thought the same thing about holodecks, but as a lot of the technology is based around holograms, in this version of the future, it doesn't bother me. All the different shows show a version of the future which is influenced by the current technology of the time in which they are made. That's just the way they go. |

I think the fact that she now knows she did not fail Sarek on Vulcan is why they had such a dramatic power shift balance in their last scene together in the ep. |
