What made you want to start a thread for them jenny, don't get me wrong, I'm glad you did cause I really do like them. Did you watch the movie not to long ago. I need to watch it again, it has been quite awhile.

Oh I love them! Well her espacially.
I grew up watching and re watching it cause my mom loved it. I think i saw it hundred of times! Even though my vision of it changed with age, i'm still addicted to it and can help it but watch it every christmas vacacions. As a kid I thought their love story was so beautiful. Now that I watch it as an adult, I can help but noticed what a jerk he has been to her her entire life. She is amazing!! She fought so hard for what she wanted even though she was losing everything that she ever had. I still love them as a couple and they'll still be in my top 10 but I'm way more fascinated by her. __________________

Julie- I saw a video on youtube of them and was like "No way, I remember liking these two when I watched this with mom". I like the forbidden romance couples it seems lol.
Im glad to see more people who liked these two. Its a classic romantic movie of forbidden love. |

 I've been chatting away at The Thorn Birds Thread at The 80's board, and thought to look here to see if there were an appreciation thread for this couple... and lo' and behold... Jenny started a thread! I don't think I've ever seen the last picture before that's in the OP! Very nice.  Can you add me to the list, Jenny?  There's this video (majority) of Meggie and Ralph, and it's just absolutely amazing! It's one of my favorites! Original Sin by Elton John. I remember watching this movie when I was younger and just loving it and them. My mum recently got the DVD so I need to re-watch it. I still remember so much of it because I used to constantly watch it LOL. the third pic though...I've never seen that before? I'm staarting to think I may have missed some parts of the mini (or a prequel?). Which I did the same thing with North & South, it wasn't until years later that I realised there was more then the part after George and Orry parted with the ripped money note, lol. __________________

Yes they did. I found it, they are actually playing Ralph and Meggie in a musical play of The Thorn Birds. I want to see that! No fair lol This is a cute picture  |
