Reasons why we love Jack/Elizabeth:

1. Because he dove into the water to save her.
2. Because she called him her "rescuer."
3. Because the way he had her putting his belongings back on him was enough to make you blush.
4. Because they were stranded on an island together.
5. Because when they got drunk, they were hilarious.
6. Because they'll be no living with her after that.
7. Because she got rid of all his rum, and he wanted to know why.

So. Let's just add insult to injury, shall we?

We apparently have to deal with a, albeit, very mild, Whelpabeth sex scene. Hmmm...curious that she was making out with Jack while Will was getting whipped, but now it seems she's into Will again. I'm not blaming dear Lizzie. It's the writers' freaking fault.

And also, one more little kick in our hearts, the movie ends with Jack singing "Drink Up Me Hearties" which is he and Elizabeth's song. So he sings their song ALONE on a tiny boat without Lizzie. That's charming. Thanks for that, TnT you giant jerks.

It's almost like they wanted to piss us off. If I weren't so damn furious, I'd be laughing at how dumb this all is.

Am I on Candid Camera or something???

Is this all some sort of really bad dream??

I know what Rugby says confirms this crap ass ending and I know she Loves movies like that BUT I DONT and THIS doesnt even fit into that because in THOSE movies the girl LOVES the guy but stays with the other man IT DOESNT even seem to me as though Liz loves Jack its like she took everything in DMC back

I'd call them another name but the censors wouldn't approve.

I hope TnT are taking a beating on wordplayer.

The 100 page script they swore all along wasn't true was completely true.

I can't even count the number of times they lied to us.

So very, very disappointed.

I loved these movies, and to see them (specifically Jack) end this way breaks my heart.

I have no desire to even see AWE and I only will because my kids want to see it so badly.

I know, I'm feeling this mainly for Jack. I mean, ok, if he and Lizzie don't end up together, did they have to make his finality so ****ing sad and pathetic?? I thought he was the star? I thought he was the pirate, man. Wtf?

Okay, as far as comparisons to this movie and GWTW you cannot compare the two. GWTW is my favorite movie, I know it backwards and forwards and let me say, there are no comparisons here.

In GWTW Scarlett rejects Ashley because she finally figures out she loves Rhett. We also know that Rhett loves her as he tells her repeatedly. Yes, Scarlett loses Rhett, but the ending is geared to tell us that she will get him back, because they love each other, they are destined to be together and because she's freaking Scarlett O'Hara, and she gets what she wants, dammit.

Also, you can't compare this to Casablanca, another movie I know backwards and forwards. In Casablanca, Rick and Ilsa are old lovers who meet again, it is clear that Ilsa still loves Rick but she is a big supporter of her husband's cause and she stays with him because the cause is bigger than her happiness to her. And Rick lets her go. He loves her enough to let her go, and again, we are given the hope that someday she will return to him.

You can't compare the crap that is AWE to either of these masterpieces.

First of all, Rhett and Scarlett get closure and hope and admissions of their true feelings for one another. J/E get none of these.

And Victor (Ilsa's husband) has a cause which is what keeps Ilsa devoted to him. The only cause the whelp appears to have is letting Jack save Elizabeth for him time and time again.
