Yeah, hopefully next season. I agree, that it did seem like they were leaning that way with the kiss and also with Cesare's comment about whether he should be jealous of Paolo. With any luck, they'll take a few more steps in that direction next season, maybe with some jealousy on his or, preferably, her side.

I really like the way the show is handling this. Its a slow build-up (that is killing me) but it makes their union inevitable

I think the slow build up is part of what makes CL so popular. While the other pairings we see happen instantly, a lot of time is taken with showing their bond.

Yeah, I know, right? One of the good things about Cesare and Lucrezia having other lovers is that it makes it easier to create manips of them together Not nearly as good as it would be if they got a real love scene, but still

This manip vid was pretty good too

Same here! That's totally them. Before season 2 started when we only got quick clips of Cesare's side of that scene, I was holding out hope that the curly haired woman was Lucrezia. Now I can only pretend

Wow to the video as well. I know I should not like them but the chemistry there is just WOW. They have this sweetness, this intimacy, this just wonderful drawl to them.

Plus we had that odd statement from Juan--saying he believed C&L had had "congress" with each other. What was the point of putting that in there unless it was going to lead somewhere? And it told the audience that even their own brother saw the mutual desire and thought they'd acted on it.

Juan then added that "nobody's listening" but maybe that's a clue that somebody WAS listening.

ETA: I just found a comment from David Oakes about Juan's line about C&L:
