That is how I feel. He knows he can play everyone else. But for some reason, he seems to be off balance with Lacey. As far as Archie and Rico, I don't think Danny really cares if they like him or not. That is why they can call him on the manipulation. Danny isn't trying to get them on his side or he'd accomplish that goal.

I wonder if perhaps they wrote each other in Juvie and that is what made them close for a while. Perhaps, she kept in touch with him for a brief while due to the problems with her parents causing them to be close and have that attraction as they grew older.But when she got with her friends, she dropped writing Danny and started to resent him due to her life falling apart with parents' divorce and such. Just speculating why they are so drawn to each other.

^ That's an interesting theory about Lacey writing Danny while he was in juvie. However, I can't see it. I think Danny would've immediately brought that up to her once they did talk after seeing that she was avoiding him. Also, from the start, Lacey has been pretty adamant about not having anything to do with him and seems to have just wanted to forget him and the murder.

I think they probably had a little puppy love going on before Danny went to juvie. While in juvie he probably spent quite a bit of time thinking about her and their puppy love. Then when he saw her for the first time upon returning, he was instantly attracted due to the beautiful young woman she had grown into. If you notice in the Pilot when Danny walks up to Lacey and Jo, he focuses most on Lacey. I think he was instantly enamoured with her.

You're probably right. I get that there is a HUGE possibility that Danny sat back fantasizing about what it would be like when he got out of juvie when seeing his two best friends again. I think he probably thought they'd be as excited to see him as he was them due to their bond. That is why he walked up to them immediately. I too can see that he may have a childhood crush on Lacey thus dwelled on that considering there was no other females to enamor him. My question is why is Lacey so attracted to him? I mean besides his smoldering good looks. Haha

^Who knows, Lacey didn't look to be thinking about Danny much while he was in juvie, at least not in a romantic way. Maybe it's just pure attraction - which happens sometimes, without any previous history of romance.

I do hope that we'll see some layers added to their budding attraction. As it stands now, their attraction to each other is purely physical.

It is weird to me that Danny has not mentioned any interaction with Lacey while he was in juvie. One of the first things he mentioned to Jo was the letters. I can't imagine him not trying to reach out to Lacey.

I've been shipping Danny & Lacey since the first episode and I just can't get enough of them!! The way they look at each other is so intense as if they been in love with each other all these years. Maybe they have, but one thing for sure they are wickedly hot!!!

So have you guys seen the promo that aired on ABCFamily, where it shows all the summer shows, and it is called summer crush. Basically Danny is shirtless and is about to kiss Jo. Personally I think it is just a dream, because as we can see Jo has a crush on him. So maybe this dream sneaks up on her, and forces her to realize she does in fact like Danny. but who knows, what really happens. We will just have to wait and see, but I am honestly not nervous about the promo.

Honestly, if it isn't a dream, I would probably stop watching this show. NOT because I'm a diehard Dacey shipper either. But it would ruin for me what I like the most..the question of if Danny is a sociopath manipulating all around him or if he is misunderstood. Because if Danny is with Jo in anyway besides friendship after the Dacey kiss, he is without a doubt a sociopath... manipulative. We know he is manipulative but that doesn't make him a sociopath. To me, this would.

It would definitely ruin the push and pull of physical attraction of Lacey and Danny if Danny were to do anything with Jo. Seriously, ABC family would ruin this show to have him coming on to both girls.

I mean if it isn't a dream. I don't mind a dream at all. If it isn't a dream, basically he is giving each girl hope and what they want. Manipulating them with what they want to get ahead...thus a sociopath. I don't mind Janny if Dacey didn't happen already with the kiss. I am not for Janny. I don't find the actor/actress chemistry that great. But I am not one that can't handle that story line. I think it would be a huge waste of chemistry between the other two. However, I'm game for Janny IF Dacey hadn't already been played out. If Janny happens this soon and NOT a dream, it means that Danny is without a doubt a sociopath. And I like the push and pull of wondering if he is. I know that is probably just me. However, as a viewer that would make up my mind.

See I don't see it that way. His messing with both girls doesn't make him a sociopath imo. I still don't see dacey as danny doing the pursuing. It was more a combustion of mutual attraction. He didn't kiss her first, she did. As for Jo, I could see them happening if he feels like Lacey shuts him down. That doesn't make him a sociopath just a teenage boy, but I do think they want to keep the audience confused in terms of Danny's pov. Is he killer? Is he a sociopath? I frankly thinks he is neither but they are playing up those darker elements, but I see not evidence of danny wanting jo so imo its a dream.

Okay. I can see it that way too. The teen boy perspective. He was away from females for five years. Hormones a dominant at that age.

I guess I just thought if they show it is real..not dream...that means that Danny is definitely not feeling anything for either girl. He is faking emotions thus sociopath.

I love the darker way they are playing this. I like the is he? Isn't he? I guess I wanted that to keep up and for some reason seeing the clip disappointed me more on the Danny front than the Dacey because I love wondering about him. Haha. But with your POV, I could handle it if it happens to be real. Because I see Lacey making it like it is a huge mistake and Danny going to the only girl that is giving him a chance.
