Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Chelle, or Rora a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I think the team would have to say no if you went with canon couples . I can just see the fandom upsets that could cause

uh, yea. definitely just keep it silhouettes or maybe even classic older couples but probably silhouettes.

exciting! I will think of more ideas. I'm not too sure on colors but probably something light and cheery. I'll look.

I have this problem so I just agree with the co-mod mostly but I like those.

Have you had a look through the design seeds website for colour scheme ideas? It does help to have a starting point on what sort of colours you would like to see/you feel best suit the seem. Being the board for couples the most obvious colouring to me is something in the pinks/reds range since those colours usually represent love. Red however can be quite a harsh colour so we do try to avoid using it wherever possible. You then should also take into consideration what sort of colours you like as you've got to look at them each day so they need to be ones you can live with. You may feel that you don't really like pink, so you'd rather go with something else, which is fine

As a starting point you may wish to take a look through these pages:

I did go through & here are some which jumped out at me (sorry there's quite a few of them ) thinking along the lines of colours which I associate with love mainly. Also some purples too since you already have purple now & its close to pink/red. Some of the schemes also have other colours in it if you wanted to break things up so its not all pink. I personally quite like having multiple colours as it breaks things up, & you can get a real unique look. There's also some neutral tones in there too which is something I like, but could be something you'd hate, I don't know. Just giving you a few suggestions & ideas to help you think more about what you'd like to see here
Anyway, the colours schemes which jumped out at me were:
Flora Hues (77) pinks & green
Fresh Flora pinks & brown
Sweet Tones pinks & creams
Colour Flora (70) pinks & green
Flora Hues (76) pinks & browns
Colour Nature pinks, red, & purple
A Door Hues peach, cream, green/brown, red (sorry, hard to describe this one)
Colour Flora (30) pink, purple, red, blue, green
Flora Tones pink/purples & gold
Paper Flora purples & green
Colour View pinks & brown
Fairytale Tnes cream, peach, purple, blue, green
Culinary Colour pink/purples & brown
Colour Creatures pinks, red, brown
Colour Dew cream/browns (rosy/pink hues)


Another thing to keep in mind is that we can combine colour schemes so if there's certain colours you like from one scheme & other colours you like from another we can look at doing that

There is a lot of choices. Some of yours may be too bright (E.G. this, this, & this) but others look like they'd be quite pretty. Seems like you're fine with any colour choice too

If you really can't decide, you can leave it for the team to do whatever with any of the suggestions? But I think the main thing for me would be would you prefer to stick to pinks/purples/reds or would you rather go with another colour as the main focus colour. If so would you rather neutrals like browns, greys, creams, ect. or another colour like green or blue?

Looking just at what you said were your favs from my suggestions & the majority of your suggestions I feel like you'd like a redish pink or purple for the main shades with some hints of brown & green? Those seem to be the common elements in most of the colour schemes

I do like Flora Tones a lot, I think that might be my favorite or at least something with those colors.
