I also need to read up on this but I have no idea what happened to Lucius & Narcissa during Cursed Child. I can't remember if Draco mentioned anything about his parents in the play.

Yeah really strange. No mention about Teddy Lupin either. But I guess because the focus of CC is the next generation kids so the HP characters we've loved took a backseat but still. A mention would have been good.

I think they also realized that they were puppets of Voldemort basically. They just carried out whatever he instructed them especially when it came to Harry. And they were Death Eaters so they're bound to obey Voldemort too.
