When I re watched the first season and the pilot it seems only Emily wants the contact with Lorelai, he had given her the money without any reward. We also saw how he react by the first dinner and I was really glad that this changed.

Whoa! I can't believe what my eyes are seeing!!! This thread is alive!!! Finally! I was too lazy to search the 5th page!
However,I agree with you about the sudden change! It seems quite odd hearing Richard saying "sweetheart!" when two seconds before he was all "Lorelai!"...and I'd have loved to see the passage from golf&tracksuit to business&suit! __________________

 Love how you described it - from Lorelai! to Sweetheart!Yeah, that change would've been a nice one to watch. And what this season was really lacking too was Emily/Rory scenes. We didn't get a single one! __________________

There was no time to show us the Emily/Rory, Emily/Lorelai and Emily/ Richard and Lorelai/ Richard relationship the whole season was only about Lorelai and Chris. There was so much stuff that wasn't finished by the end of the season.

I totally agree! It was all this soap opera and the really interesting thing-the family dynamics-wasn't developed as it shuold have been! Richard's heart attack would have been a great chance to see a little bit more of it,but it was all so fast. And now,with Rory out of the picture,I would have loved to see Lorelai's behaviour with her parents and little bit more bonding between Lorelai and Emily considering that now,maybe Lorelai can understand her better!

Maybe when Rory wasn't be around Richard would be more care about his daughter maybe they would do something together and have also a better bonding.

Yeah maybe. Their story really wasn't over. I'm still mourning when I think of KB's inn idea - that's something I always wanted to see and given the fact that it really was a possibilty... makes me sad.

Yeah,me too! It was a freakin' good idea! I loved it and it would have been really great to see Emily working and managing! I'm sure she would have been fantastic since she's so expert in throwing parties!

Emily and Michel ... that would almost make me feel bad for Lorelai. Almost! It would have been so much fun to watch, lol!
I am glad that we saw Emily/Lorelai and some of their computer lessons, but I wish we had seen more of Richard/Lorelai too. That scene in FAS when she is staring at him in the hospital was so powerful. I hate that the relationship between Lorelai and Richard wasn't as fleshed out as the one between Rory and Richard. |

Emily Michel would've been awesome. And yes it's a shame we got no Richard Lorelai scene during his rehab. But then we got nearly none E/R scenes as well. __________________
