The Doctors' Lounge (OT) #315: We've nearly had as many non-ER threads as there were ER episodes!

What?

Do you mean Gaelic? Or Gaelige... something like that.
Yesssss that's the one! I remember one of the teachers saying "Gaelic is WEIRD man!" He loved the Irish accent, and there was a guy in the class who was Irish and he read 333 as "tree tree tree" (I don't know if all of you say it that way), but it was cute, the teacher loved it

Do you speak it?

Oh yeah, "tree" is pretty common in areas where that kind of Irish accent is strong. I personally say "three" but down south, you will hear "tree" a lot.

I speak *a little* but I didn't start learning until I was 11 and I stopped when I was 14.

They could do what they wanted basically. Like, the teacher would set a deadline and I would make sure I was absolutely ready to hand in an assignment on that date. But then 10 students wouldn't have the work done and the teacher would give everyone an extra day or two and I would be thinking... well let's just say Kingsleyyy kinda took over.

The only Irish I knew was some I picked out from listening Enya and Clannad songs. Most of it, I don't even know what they mean.

Hope you like it! I keep calling it "escapist fun" to people. I still need to watch episode 3.

So much stuff happens in every episode that I'm not sure what exactly made you , but I probably agree!!!
That's just it! So much happens, so many unexpected and great and horrible things! And yeah, Maggie's character is SO awesome! She's the best! Actually I love almost all the characters.

I'm liking it, but I don't love it or feel passionate about the characters. The reason I watched is Margot Robbie is one of the main characters and I *loved* her on this Australian show called Neighbours. So it's great to see her on this show.

There's a name for the Irish language, isn't there? I heard it, I knew how to say it, but I don't know how to write it
It's Gaeilge.

Yeah, I say "tree". I try to say "three", but sometimes it's hard to control.

I went to an Irish primary school, so I've been speaking since I was, what, 5..? And I think I'm pretty fluent. It's doing the other subjects through Irish, like Geography and Science, that's the hard part.
