Yeah, wasn't sure how closely they will follow the comics but in the latest promo, they mentioned Batwoman and Batman as cousins. Though, they always put a unique spin on things like adding new characters and changing some storylines, so we shall see how it differs in time from the comics.

Arrow writers have no respect for the source material.

I agree, but I also think Arrow writers paid too much attention to fans (which is sort of good, in a way, but unfortunate for the comics & fans of those) & showed respect to the wrong things... that's a whole other discussion though I guess
 I hope you're right about Caroline Dries  . Do you know if she's at least a fan of the comics?__________________

She specifically mentioned the Elegy storyline. Which was Alice’s first appearance in the comics.
