I started my new job last week and it's so much information, I literally don't know what to do it with. So many procedures and legal stuff.

I usually manage nights pretty well (more time to sleep between shifts ) but it does mean this is all I'm doing all week. Work sleep work sleep

Oh no, I started two weeks ago but the first two weeks were following collegue around to get a feel of the working and most common issues we get faced with. I was hired as extra manpower for the department (of 4 employees) and one is suddenly sick for two weeks. So we're all suddenly facing cases that weren't originally ours and where it isn't clear what still needs to be done before it can be submitted for review etc...

I'm fine.

ah see, a part of me knew it wasn't just the 2 days but there was something else going on . Nice you got two weeks introduction like that though. That sounds really helpful. But then unfortunate for now with someone sick & you all trying to figure out what needs doing. That sounds like it'd make it so much more work & pressure for you all

In theory it's nice and with probably any other job it'd be enough. But we're gouvernment and have so much law and technical things to remember so it's pretty blah. I can't even really answer people's questions yet when they come to us so yeah.

Wanting Thursday, or better yet Saturday. I have ultrasounds on Friday so while yay for being time off time, not so much fun. Then I don't know if I should look forward to Saturday since its the 7+ hour train trip & I'll be using that time to do coursework But time off. That's the important thing. Over work right now & past ready for a break. At least when I get back in some ways it'll be better as there will be a 3rd staff member in my room instead of just two of us. That'll help ease things. But unfortunately all because a new person being hired can't work in the Nursery/Toddler side a whole bunch of people get to play musical chairs. This new person will be going into my room to become the room leader while my current room leader gets sent down to the Toddler room. So we'll see how that goes. Hopefully doesn't cause stress or anxiety for me . I can just see all these children all going to be reliant on me for a while until they warm up to the idea of having two other educators in the room. At least they know the other one & some had her as a teacher last year. This is more reason I need a break to just try not think about any of it & come back fresh to deal with it
