I could see that Michael is hanging out with someone and then he sees Alex and his whole mood changes. That he lights up and a big smiles appears on his face when he sees Alex.
Or maybe we see Michael kinda checking himself out in the mirror and then doing some fixing. Only to see him show up at Alex's place and Michael wants to look his best. __________________
