Hi everyone. We’ve taken a look at the Requests System and we’ve decided to make some changes because many of the forums that we’ve been adding either get low posting numbers right from the beginning, or we can’t find any qualified candidates to moderate these forums when we add them.

Therefore, the following new rules will be put into place starting with the April Poll:

• People will be able to vote for one forum in the new polls. This is being done to hopefully generate more votes for one forum to be added. The only exception to this rule will be for the polls that we run for Summer Television Shows, Fall Television Shows and Mid-Season Replacement Shows.
• Newly opened campaign threads must be active for at least one month before a campaign is submitted in the polls.
• Campaign threads for newly closed forums cannot be re-started until after 6 months have passed from the date of the forum closure.
• Requests that don't receive enough votes in a given month won’t be added. Therefore, there may be some months where new forums won’t be added, So it’s very important that people vote.
• Any new forum that gets added must have people interested in moderating it before it gets added.
• The polls have been modified for everyone to indicate whether they will post on the new forum or if they will apply to moderate it.
• If no one expresses an interest in moderating a potential new forum, the forum won’t be added.
• Once a new forum has been added, if no one ends up applying for the open moderator position that gets posted during its trial period, the forum will be closed.

We’re putting these new rules in place to ensure that any forum we add has a chance to do well here and not continue adding forums that either have low numbers or that no one wants to moderate.

Fully agree cause like mentioned either have a problem with low post count or no moderator steps up

Its going to be hard having only 1 vote but fully agree with that decision too making us focus on a single choice might be the right course of action

Has the Outlander board been closed for over six months? I started the campaign for it, but am not sure when in 2020 it closed.

It is hard to only have 1 vote, but totally understandable considering a lot of new boards do tend to have low post counts.

Even if it closed January 2021, these rules will take effect April 1st onwards.
