Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Catia or Chelle a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

You're being very very specific. I'm quite confused about your choices of colour schemes. When a colour scheme is chosen, we use all the colours in that colour scheme (or at least more than two) and I'm not sure why you're changing colour schemes when a different photoshoot is presented?

Also, while I appreciate you linking three pictures, I would prefer it if you could like us to your favourite photoshoots. I mean no offense but that way we can see better which pictures work best for the banner since we have some experience in them. If a photoshoot only has three pictures, that's fine, but I'd still like a link to the photoshoots themselves.

Oh I did this with the Misha board, so I didn't know it was wrong. I thought that depending on the colors in a photo, you could pick a different color scheme for each photoshoot. Otherwise I didn't think that just 1 scheme could go with every photoshoot.

What do you mean by linking? Like directly to the magazine that did the photoshoot, instead of separate pics from each photoshoot?

We cut out the pictures, so it doesn't matter which pictures go with which colour.

I mean a link where all the pictures of a certain photoshoot are together, whether it being a link to a magazine where they are or a gallery link... Just so we can see all the pictures of that photoshoot.

Gotcha! So I could actually mix and match different photoshoot pics then? Instead of them being from the same photoshoot.

No, we don't mix photoshoots unless we really have to. All photographers work with different lighting and picture quality might vary that way.

That link works & is what Mel meant but we generally don't use magazine scans. Do you have any recent photo sessions that you love? Although taking a look this is probably the only usable one, or possibly this

All those colour schemes are different so is there set colours that you want to see? Such as green & greys? I'm guessing that from them but I have no idea

as for colours, do I get that right you'd love a Grey/greenish mix maybe with a hint of orange/red?

Those are good ones too! Don't know how I missed seeing them

I was getting a hint of brown possibly but orange/red could be it too . This is why I questioned it, as it really was all depending on how you interpreted it. Knowing which colours you're wanting will help us a lot as then we know which ones to focus more on & get a feel for what you actually want here. Plus we don't have to focus just on one colour scheme, we can take bits from all of them . So say you want soft greyish/greens with browns/oranges/reds we would then focus more on those greyish/greens from the various colour schemes you linked to for the graphic with smaller amounts of the brown/orange/red... or if you didn't want those brown/orange/red shades at all we'd ignore them & just look at the greens & greys. Or whatever it is you're looking for, those are just examples There really is an endless possibility with those colour schemes - & if you're happy with anything from that feel free to say that & the team can just do whatever we feel works best for us

The first one you posted is my fave!! Although if I had to choose I love the pics in the photo shoot of him wearing glasses, and smiling pics. But you can totally mix and match any photos from set because it's my fave.
I just totally have a thing for him in glasses, because that's all he wears these days.

As far as color schemes go, grey/green is what I think would look good. But if you have any ideas for possible color schemes than I'd love to hear it. I'm just trying to think of nature and rustic colors, because the man is very outdoorsy and even lives on a farm. So anything country or nature color wise works. I just love the idea of shades of green with grey.
