I think I read that Martina Hingis retired for the third (and final, so she says) time.
I was never a fan of hers. I always thought she was whiny and annoying. Quote:

Yeah. She's ranked 3rd overall in the WTA current rankings. Terrific revival of her career this year.

she will be known for blowing a substantial lead in a wimbledon final (against a favorite), to winning it 13 years later, thats the definition of perseverence __________________

Such sad news.
I remember her Wimbledon finals. It's great that she won one of them. __________________

I saw that earlier today. Really heartbreaking news. I remember that Wimbledon final where she blew the lead. It was so sad seeing her in tears during the post match ceremony. However i was very happy for Jana when she finally won it a few years later. R.I.P. Jana.
In the latest update from the tour, Grigor Dimitrov won the Nitto ATP Finals singles title, while Henri Kontinen and John Peers won the doubles title. So that's the latest update from the tour. Next up on the schedule will the Davis Cup final between Belgium and France, starting on Friday in Lille. __________________
