Day 1: Favourite episode & season

Favourite episode is definitely Day Trip, it was such a great episode for his character, first time we got to actually see the real Bellamy. Broken and vulnerable, filled with regret and guilt, thinking he's a monster and deserves to die. It was the episode that sealed the deal for me, we saw glimpses of him being emotional and softer than he wanted people to know before but this was the first time, he revealed all his fears and struggles, believing all he does is hurt people and that his mother would be ashamed of who he has become, mask of bravado completely dropped. It was also an amazing episode for Bob, the hallucination scenes, when he asks to be killed, were so well acted and haunting as was the scene below.

Favourite season: I was considering season 1 or 4 but decided to choose season 1 because it was the best in terms of character development. He went from acting like a total ass, who pretended he didn't care about anybody (besides Octavia) to a caring leader, who showed a lot of empathy, esp. towards the teens who reminded him of his sister, and tried his best to protect all of them. It was quite the journey and I loved getting to learn more about him, layer by layer.

Love your post, Paulina. Season 1 was amazing in terms of Bellamy development and undoubtedly Day Trip was such a pivotal episode for him.

Day Trip

Day Trip isn't actually my favorite episode of the entire series, but it obviously does stand out to me
because of how important it is in Bellamy's development. (I mean, there's also the Bellarke of it all.)
Don't get me wrong, I really do like the episode, though, because I love things that explore the psyche
of complex, haunted characters, and Bellamy certainly is that. I was always intrigued by Bellamy Blake,
but this is probably the episode where I became an even bigger fan. Plus, Bob acted his ass off here.

Season Four

The fact that this is my favorite season for Bellamy probably plays into it being my favorite season overall.
Bellamy had a rough season three--that's no secret--and while I do see some value in his season three arc,
it's never fun to see your favorite make such horrible choices. Bob and the writers really gave Bellamy
a great redemption arc in the fourth season, and it didn't feel forced to me. It felt very earned, and I like
that it's still very much an ongoing process for him. He also had some great moments with both Clarke
and Octavia this season, and since those bonds are my favorite, it contributes to making it a great season.

I was considering season 4 too but decided that I preferred his development in season 1 but season 4 was very good for his character.
