I have no clue, I mostly read fantasy and mystery.

I'm very confused. I've seen the first two movies and want to know what happens next. But the next book does not start with/present the circumstances we've left our heroes at the end of the movie. So where am I? Where should I read from?

I think she means that the ending of the film is different from the book so TDC doesn't start exactly where they left off. the 3rd book starts a few weeks later and we know that the last movie will be different in a way that a whole year will have passed since the last one. so you haven't read the first two books? because I wouldn't skip them the 2nd movie is a mixture of the 2nd and the 3rd book so I think it's better if you read The Scorch Trials at least

^ If she means that then sure.. the movies and the books are quite different. The movies don't really follow the books all that closely You might just have to wait another year for 'TDC' to come out to the movies

When I first read the books I was surprised slightly they the films do deviate from how the books wrote certain events. I suppose it does give you that element of surprise when watching the films but idk it can be kind of annoying? I just hope some stuff from the TDC ends up in the final film

the first was alright in terms of deviation, but scorch trials whole premise was basically changed so it does make the third very unknown.. could be great or really bad.. only time can tell..

The first film was alright, it followed the book quite a bit and missed a few scenes from the book. The second film was completely different from the book but I still liked, but I did see the film before reading the books so I can't say I disliked the film because that's how I became a fan of this series
The third film will be a surprise I think but hopefully all the important elements are still there |

I am a little interested about the third film because of how much they changed in TST. But I think because the film was still so good, I'm more excited to see what they do with it and expect the deviation now after seeing TST.
As far as this book goes, I remember liking it in the end, but it felt very back and fourth..I think. It's been so long! I seriously need to do a re-read. But I think I'm going to wait to do the re-read after I see the movie! __________________

I think the film will be interesting, the question is obviously going to be whether Wes will follow the book or not
I really loved TST but I did watch the films before the books so.... |
