i went to universal studios for 2 days. mainly for the Harry Potter parks.
we had a great time, but it was ungodly hot down there. we had to go into every store just for air. i was drinking water like crazy. next time we plan a trip we will have to go when its cooler temps down there. by the end of the trip i was feeling so sick from being out in the heat for so long. plus im achy all over from the amount of walking we did.

Yep-same here. 106 today with the high uv rays-96 but "real feel" was 106. They say Tues. is gonna break records! oh my...I'm on vacation this week and I'm gonna be stuck in the house, or in a movie theater 2 or 3 days!

Yep-me too. You can't enjoy anything outside. My co-workers invited me to a pool party which was great, until it lightening, thundered, poured, and literally threw rain at us-we had to go in. And stay later than we'd planned because of the weather and every creek was coming up and the roads were wet.
My new stupid neighbors left their 11 month old puppy outside in a cage-said they went to dinner-and the poor pup died while they were gone. At least, that's the story the stupid b---- gave me. Horrible people. I don't even speak to them anymore-this happened 2 weekends ago. The cage was big and behind their garage with a cover over it but...you do not leave an animal outside in a heat wave-I don't care what time of day it is. With no water. They never left him anything in that cage. No water, no food, not one toy, or anything.

If they get a new dog, you should keep an eye out for it and call The Humane Society or the ASPCA on them. They don't deserve to have a dog.

Ugh, there was a huge storm and the power was out all day. It just now came back on but of course it's 10 PM now and bedtime. I'll come do some posting tomorrow.

I wish I had called somebody-thing is, I have 3 dogs and I didn't want them to retaliate - I hate to say this, but my dogs' lives are not worth risking over a pup that's already gone.
If they do put another dog in that cage and I see it-I will call someone. I work all day and if it's hot, I don't sit out in my backyard when I get home.

And I don't KNOW these people. I don't know if they're really just stupid-they were gonna breed this dog later on-so I really don't think they did it on purpose. But, that being said-I have no way of knowing. She told me when they moved in-it was just temporary and they were looking for a house to buy and her aunt was gonna sell this one. I just pray the people who eventually buy it, will be - what's the word - not stupid or at least, normal. I don't even know what "normal" is anymore. People are nuts these days and have no common sense!
