I would really like to see their relationship last and end up being one of the primary prolonged romantic relationships on the show.

I don't know how long they'll last but I'd like the writers to delve more into their relationship. Obviously, there is built-in angst with Eddie being a cop and Joe's partner as well as Barry's "rival" of course.

I'm so glad these two aren't sneaking around any longer in front of either Barry or Joe. Eddie's mad-dash scramble to make up an excuse for why he was showing up at the West house was hilariously played by Rick Cosnett, as was the scene where Joe confesses that he's already aware of their relationship and says that it's a good thing the doctor took his gun.

But, did Joe really know it before? "I'm a detective"

It seems like Joe hasn't any problems with their relationship but it was half jokingly and half truth that's a good thing the doctor took his gun

I was prepared not to like Eddie since he struck me as a jerk in the pilot. I didn't think I'd come to like him being with Iris. But they're slowly growing on me. And Eddie is pretty funny too.

Yes, the same happened to me, I thought Eddie was a jerk but after 1x02 and 1x03 I started to think he's a nice guy, IMO.

^ Yup! I even kinda felt bad for Eddie in that scene when Iris said the reason she didn't want Joe to know was because it would mean that it's real or something like that. He just looked hurt and sad.
