It was an amazing scene! I can't wait for more development on their relationship. They clearly don't see each other as brotherly/sisterly!

I was re-watching the "Don't tell Iris" scene from the pilot and was wondering if Joe knows about Barry's feelings for Iris.
I think Joe does know, but he hasn't mentioned it out of respect for Barry's silent pining  Having said that, I think Joe might call Barry out on it if/when he finds out Barry's been keeping Iris/Eddie a secret. I can see Joe/Barry having a big argument, with Joe thinking Barry should have taken his side on the Eddie/Iris thing, since he's in love with Iris. (Bonus points if that happens in front of Iris... though I know that's unlikely). __________________

I love how their relationship is built on friendship and they respect one another, and SO clearly care for each other deeply. When Iris walked in and Barry looked at her the way he did __________________

Full season pickup! Not that it's a surprise, but still... So many more lovely interactions to look forward to this season.
Put me down for a slow burn with these two, as well. I want to saaaaaavor! The only thing that bothers me is when people think or assume Barry/Iris shippers support the ship because it's the OTP in the comics. Frankly, I never read Flash before the New 52, so if I'm invested in this ship in the show, it's because of the ship in the show. Random aside, I know. Can't wait for tonight's episode! |
