James really does good with the male friendships. He is not afraid to show affection to a male friend and that makes those scenes so good.

That's true

And same about Hisham. They both are so fantastic together and hearing that they even spend time solving this puzzle BTS is awesome. It seems they are very close, not just on screen but off screen as well. And since James tries to keep it all professional with his colleagues, I think that bond between him and Hisham could be something special.

I totally agree with you Kris. It is refreshing to see a friendship between those men that is like this. It's not evident for these two to have a relationship like this if you don't know their history. We don't know much about their history but we do know that Red saved Dembe's life and that is what's most important for me but of course I would love to know more!

Totally agree about the bond between James And Hisham. I feel like the friendship is genuine. James has gone out of his way to keep him on the show when the writers were going to write him out.

As far as James has a relationship with Hisham it is genuine

But he does like to keep to himself and outside of the show James doesn't meet up with his other cast members. I once read that in an interview.

Yes, I recall that interview as well, Miranda. And still I think that James is really close to Hisham. Closer than to the others maybe...

Sam, what do you mean? When James stepped in when the writers planned to kill Dembe? It was in the Anslo Garrick episodes. The writers originally planned to kill Dembe instead of Luli but James convinced them otherwise.

So Luli had to die and Dembe was kept around.

I am so glad that James convinced the writers to keep Dembe alive! Nothing against Luli, but Dembe was so much more interesting than her.
