Wow, this week went by fast! I'm psyched for this episode. Hopefully we'll get some good answers to Liz's past.

I didn't care too much about this week's Blacklister but I was more intrigued about that man that helped Liz in the end when she was 'hostaged' by Dr. Creel. Why and who is he working for?

I also like the scene between Naomi & Liz, I'm so glad they met! I didn't quite catch how Liz knew where to look for her? And also that scene between Naomi's husband and Red. Red is only keeping him alive because Naomi loves him. I feel for Red. He still loves Naomi but he can't have her because of what he's become and probably something more.

I am also liking Samar and I can feel that something will go on between her & Aram soon. I also felt like she wanted to be friends with Liz but then again, maybe it's a tactic?

And that door in the end. WHAAAAAT? Was Tom in there?

Lizzie had Aram run Naomi's and her hubby's freinds cell phone records to see if anyone was getting calls from a new number. That's how she found the Hylands.

The doctor got 2 shots on the chest,he didn't bleed ,then got up and held Liz as a hostage
The gunman who followed Liz,he seemed to know Liz was in danger in advance ,found a right position to fire the sniper once FBI got there. TPTB ,the logic.

Bad Mod is bad. I did not watch the episode on Monday >.<

Finally had a chance to watch the episode tonight. I had some mixed feelings about it. I think for the first time I really did wish that more had been revealed. I don't really mind the slow pacing the mythology part of the show but NBC hyped the Liz/Naomi scene way too much in their promos. Naomi should have given her at least a tiny hint about her part. But the actual case was a lot more interesting than last week maybe just because of the way it connected to the team.

Lots of Aram/Samar scenes this week. I kinda suspected these two might be a thing last episode but this episode confirmed (in my opinion) that they will have some kind of relationship. Romantic or otherwise, I dunno. I like it, they're playful together which was nice. But I'm going to have to see a little more before I decide if that direction is a good choice for the show.

Even the idea of there being "the couple" on the team is very reminiscent of a lot procedural shows. Lindsey and Danny from CSI:NY come to mind. They also made playful bets before they got married.

I actually preferred the little moments with Aram and Liz. These two are always so natural together. There's a chemistry that isn't forced between them. I also can appreciated that Aram is willing to bend the rules a little for Liz, but not brake them entirely. Love their parts together and can't wait to see more.

Jennifer!
Well this episode all but confirmed - in my opinion - that Liz is not Red's daughter. And now we have a name to go with that mystery girl. I can see her not wanting to see Red but it doesn't sound like she's a big fan of Naomi either. I hope that bit in the preview for next week means we're going to meet her.

As for Liz's real father... well we got some hints this week. I've long thought Liz's father might be a particularly evil blacklister and this week seemed to support that idea. Along with the Tom part of the "Is Liz telling the truth?" We seem to get a little story on her father. Is he connected to the scar on her hand? Does she have the warrior gene as passed down to her by her father? Based on Aram's reaction to the medical results I'm guessing yes. This really intrigues me so I hope we get some clear answers about how Red got involved with Liz in the first place sooner rather than later.

Does Liz have Tom locked up?
Well the episode's ending was pretty ominous. What's behind that locked door? I sorta feel like this is tied to Tom somehow. I dunno what Liz is hiding but I like the possibilities. Liz's dark side needs to be explored a little more.

Other little notes:

- David Costabile is this week's blacklister I kinda have to love him at this point because he's been on pretty much all my favorite shows.

- As for the mind control part, I've heard about this kind of thing actually happening before. Scary stuff. So I liked that and the way it tied into the mystery of Liz's past.

- I feel like Cooper secretly hates his job. The scene in his office was heavy. Sounds like maybe a part of him wishes he had walked away from the job when he had the chance.

- I can totally picture Naomi and Red married. Funny stuff.

- Redacted Papers Scene: I'm with Red, I have zero patience with piecing together all those papers and redacted experiments. But it looks so fun!

- I love that this episode focused a lot of Liz's psychology background. Don't I always love those kind of episodes? I just like that the show hasn't forgotten that she is a profiler!

- How long was doggie girl gone? OMG that dog. "we also have a dog" >.< I can't. He was cute too, pretty old. I'm a dog person so I enjoyed it. Plus Red's laugh before he says "city dog" was adorable.

- W T F ? ! Frank?

- I did like undercover Liz.

- Liz talking about Tom was great. Such passion though. (Her hatred on him makes me ship them more)

- The laptop password hit was very season one level intense, I liked it.

- "Magic" I love Liz when she's teasing Aram. Actually I like her whenever she's joking.

I wonder why Liz would have Tom locked up in the first place? More importantly, are we going to find out what is behind that door in the next ep or are they going to drag that out?

I think me, too! This episode really was important when you consider the impact it had in the season 2 finale... I can't wait to see it again although it wasn't too long ago that I saw this one I re-watched it before already.

I haven't had time to watch it yet. It will be the first thing I do tomorrow morning.

ETA: I watched the episode!

You really think Liz was telling the truth about taking the pills in high school? I mean we all know that the things she said she wanted to do with Tom were real cause she did those things to him. She probably has been plannig that for a long time.

Dr. Creel was so weird. The way he pulled out his hair was just feaky and the fact that he brainwashed his victims they way he did so they would do something they never thought they would be doing. I just can't believe that people really do something like that.

Also they way he catfished Duncan. The guy that believed he was talking to a girl named Amber but it was Dr. Creel that was behind it.

I saw the episode yesterday and I really love this one... Man, somehow I seem to love all of them lately. Maybe it's because of the lack of new ones.

I really think that could be true I think that Lizzie, given her background, never was an easy teenager or child. Be she managed to get through all of it and Sam and her did together as well. It's sad though if it's all true...

Creel was creepy indeed The hair pulling was so weird and it made him appear really crazy somehow. We all know he was crazy but that was somehow the thing that made him perfectly crazy to the audience.

And about the most important of that show... Lizzie carrying the warrior gene. It's funny, I read some about this gene and everybody actually carries it but for them the gene is very active, for others more inactive. And those that carry the more active gene it's somehow said that they tend to more aggressive behavior. So I guess it wasn't 100% true what they said about the warrior gene in the show, it's not that some have it and some haven't. We all have the MOAO gene but the rate of activity of that gene is varying.

That's what that guy of Red's said about the gene:
"They used the brains of mass murderers and reverse-engineered from there, fine-tuned a three-phase activation process.
First phase disruption of schedule, routine, daily life.
Second destabilize sense of self-worth.
Final phase was to sever the primary emotional bond.
Get all three jackpot."

All of it happened to Lizzie during the two seasons. She was supposed to start a job at the FBI but instead was forced into working with Red, no daily routine anymore with Tom or anybody, her daily life barely only existed of her job or of strange things happening. Everything was turned upside down.
She did loose her sense of self-worth by over and over again telling people that she was a puppet of Red, that she didn't even know who she was, her wondering why she did what she did. She was thinking that something was wrong with her. Maybe even sleeping with Tom was part of it (that my vary on how you see the whole Tom storyline but for me it counts as that)
And all the emotional bonds were broken as well. Her father died, she lost Tom, she didn't trust anybody anymore. She even distanced herself from Red. She not even trusted Cooper or Ressler anymore with her problems, she kept lying to them.

So there was the result, her carrying that gene and getting through all three phases of what Haskell (that the name of that strange guy) described and there she ended up shooting Connolly. I'm not surprised, I shouldn't be, really... We all shouldn't have been, we should have seen that coming after that episode was thrown in front of our faces.
